The deadline for the submission of proposals for the public tender launched by the Regional Government, through the Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructures, for the second phase of the contract for the Local Health Unit, ended on Monday.
Two proposals were submitted to the tender procedure, while three other interested parties were eliminated as they did not fit the defined base price, set at 30 million euros.
The formalised proposals have values of around 29 million euros, plus VAT, both of which are below the base price. As of today, the tender jury has started the technical analysis of each submission, available on the electronic public procurement platform.
The award will be made based on the criterion of the most economically advantageous proposition, in the lowest price modality. The contract has an expected execution period of 720 days and represents, according to the Executive, a strategic investment in strengthening the health infrastructures of Porto Santo.
The future Local Health Unit, financed under Madeira 2030 and Portugal 2030, will have a vast care response, including emergency, hospitalisation, consultations, hemodialysis, imaging, and continued care, consolidating a modern infrastructure prepared to meet the needs of the island’s population.
