Hail, snow, and ice made a significant impact on Pico do Areeiro, transforming the landscape into a harsh winter reality.
Due to weather conditions and the formation of ice on the road, the authorities closed the road from Pico dos Melros, just below Poço das Neves, halfway between Poiso and Pico do Areeiro.
The information was confirmed to JM by the Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation (IFCN) this afternoon.
