A Wizz Air plane made a heavy and difficult landing at Madeira Airport on Sunday, the 25th of May. The moment, captured by aviation enthusiasts, was released on a specialised YouTube channel, where the video was titled ‘Hard landing leaves Wizz Air passengers shaken.’
The nature of the landing made it imperative that the aircraft be inspected before it was allowed to fly again, states SIC Notícias. Passengers who were inside the plane, many of whom have recounted their experience in the comments section of the Madeira Runway Spotting channel as a “scary” experience.
Despite the demanding conditions of the Madeiran runway, known for the challenges it poses to crews, especially in strong winds, four other aircraft landed without incident.
The video of the landing is not for the faint-hearted.
