On a pilot phase roll-out, Payshops are now able to load the new ‘Giro’ pass.
As suggested, this will be a gradual rollout. However, the network of Payshop agents able to upload trips onto the GIRO pass will increase across the region – both in Madeira and Porto Santo-, states TIIM – Transportes Integrados Intermodais da Madeira, S.A.
TIIM is responsible for the rollout of the new ticketing system under the coordination of IMT – Institute of Mobility and Transport, IP-RAM. The objective, they say, is “not only to significantly reduce the queues at the end of the month, they want to create more flexibility, especially creating more opportunities for people to recharge their pass closer to home and work.
With the integration of Payshop agents, present in all municipalities of Madeira and Porto Santo, the sales network will be significantly expanded over the next month.
