As the 25th of April is a public holiday, ARM – Águas e Resíduos da Madeira, S.A., informs that the following changes will be made to the waste collection services in Câmara de Lobos, Machico, Ribeira Brava, and Santana:
In Câmara de Lobos, the collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish), usual on Friday (April 25th), will be carried out on the same day, however, waste collection on some streets will be brought forward a day and start at 08:00.
In Ribeira Brava, the collection of unsorted waste (normal waste), usually on Friday (25 April), will be held on the same day, starting at 08:00.
In Machico, the collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish), usually on Friday (25 April), will be held on the same day, starting at 08:00 and waste collection paper/cardboard (blue recycling bin), usually on Friday (April 25th), will be brought forward for Thursday (April 24), starting at 09:00.
Finally, in Santana, the collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish), usually on Thursday (April 24), will be brought forward to Wednesday (23 April), starting at 909:00. Waste collection (normal rubbish), usually on Friday (April 25), will be early on Thursday (April 24), starting at 09:00 and picking up of paper/cardboard waste (blue recycling bin), usually on Friday (25th of April), will be brought forward to Wednesday (April 23), starting at 09:00.
ARM also clarifies that regarding the reception of waste, the Solid Waste Treatment Plant (ETRS) of Meia Serra will only receive waste for incineration and green waste from 08:00 to 15:30 upon prior request.
On the same date, the Transfer of the East Zone and Sorting of Madeira Island (ETZL/ET), to the West Zone Transfer Station (ETZO) and the West Zone Processing Centre, Porto Santo Solid Waste (CPRS), will be closed.
