The Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation (IFCN) has announced the closure of all classified walking routes in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, under its management, as of tomorrow, Monday, the 17th of March, due to bad weather.
According to the institute, “as long as the alerts are maintained, the classified pedestrian routes will remain closed, for safety reasons.”
In addition, the IFCN reported that “Quinta do Santo da Serra and the Forest Road that connects Eira do Serrado to Pico do Areeiro will be closed.”
