Work on Hospital May Stop

If the Government Programme is rejected in the Assembly today, work on the construction of the new hospital could stop.

The total suspension of the work is one of the consequences pointed out by Pedro Fino, the Regional Secretary for Equipment and Infrastructure. Work is said to be progressing at a good pace, but a new public tender has to be opened for the third phase. At the moment, about 500 workers from 25 companies are on site.

The question is, what happens if no one gives way?  Both Chega and the PS-Madeira refuse to cooperate unless significant changes are made to the current political situation.
