On average, the Regional Authority for Economic Activities (ARAE) received more than ten complaints per day in the first quarter of this year. In total, 933 complaints were registered, with most relating to food hygiene and safety, states Regional Inspector, Luís Miguel Rosa.
Furthermore, there has been a marked increase in foreign national complaints, with two ‘food providers’ being shut temporarily pending further investigation and inspection.
