Easter Rubbish Collection Schedule

Águas e Resíduos da Madeira (ARM) has announced their Easter Refuse Collection schedule for  Câmara de Lobos, Machico, Porto Santo, Ribeira Brava, and Santana, as well as in the waste reception and customer service services.

WASTE COLLECTION:

There will be no waste collection service in these municipalities on the 29th of March, Good Friday.

Câmara de Lobos:

• The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish), on Fridays (March 29th) will be postponed to Saturday (March 30th), starting at 8 am.

• The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish) from Quinta Grande and Garachico, usually on Friday (March 29th) will be brought forward to Thursday the 28th of March.

Ribeira Brava:

• The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish), on Friday (March 29th) will be postponed to Saturday (March 30th), starting at 8 am.

Machico:

• The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish), on Friday (March 29th), will be postponed to Saturday (March 30th), starting at 8 am.

• The collection of paper/cardboard waste (blue recycling bin), on Friday (March 29th), will be brought forward to Thursday (March 28th), starting at 9 am.

Santana:

• The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal garbage), on Thursday (March 28th), will be brought forward to Wednesday (March 27th), in the afternoon, and the usual collection on Friday (March 29th), will be brought forward on Thursday (March 28th), starting at 9am.

• The collection of paper/cardboard waste (blue recycling bin), on Friday (March 29th), will be brought forward to Wednesday (March 27th), starting at 9 am.

Porto Santo:

• The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish), on Friday (March 29th), will be brought forward to Thursday (March 28th), starting at 8 am.

• The collection of paper/cardboard waste (blue recycling bin), on Thursday (March 28th), will be brought forward to Wednesday (March 27th), starting at 8 am.

• The collection of packaging waste (yellow recycling bin), on Thursday (March 28th), will be brought forward to Wednesday (March 27th), starting at 8 am.

• An extra collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish) will be carried out on Saturday (March 30), starting at 7 am.

WASTE RECEPTION:

Regarding the reception of waste, on Good Friday (March 29th), the Meia Serra Solid Waste Treatment Plant (ETRS), the East Zone Transfer Station and Madeira Island Sorting Station, the West Zone Transfer Station and the Porto Santo Solid Waste Processing Centre (CPRS) will be closed.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

Please note that ARM’s customer service desks will be closed on Thursday, the 28th of March, and will reopen as usual on Monday the 1st of April.
