Micahal Kozek’s brother returned to Madeira this week, but the mystery of the 35-year-old Polish citizen who disappeared on the 7th of July 202, in the Calheta mountains remains.
Christopher Kozek, the ultramarathoner’s younger brother, was in Madeira for three weeks at the time of his brother’s disappearance, but eventually returned to his country.
In December of the following year, he returned to the island but later returned to Switzerland after a prolonged stay which included hospitalisation.
Curiously, in the week in which a French couple disappeared in the mountains of São Vicente, Christopher Kozek is in Madeira, where he arrived last Saturday. He is currently staying in a local accommodation in the municipality and has started searching in Fajã da Areia. This has caused some speculation, especially, as his brother disappeared in the mountains surrounding Calheta.
