Coolzoone is the new centre for cryogenic experiments, longevity, and performance in the region. Located on Rua Imperatriz Dona Amélia, the new centre represents an investment of about 3.5 million euros.
Presiding over the inauguration, Miguel Albuquerque, President of the Regional Government, unveiled the plaque and while talking to reporters he praised the relevance of this new initiative in Madeira.
“This is a significant investment for Madeira since it is state-of-the-art technology, especially concerning rejuvenation therapies, with new methodologies already experienced in the most advanced countries in Europe,” he stressed. According to the President, this new centre will serve to promote the Autonomous Region of Madeira in terms of tourism, given the high attractiveness of the technologies and treatments on offer. Especially as this is the largest cold room in the world.”
The cryogenic chamber, which is 12 metres long and has an area of 48 square metres, spread over three cold zones, ranging from -10ºC to -110ºC, is the ‘star’ of the treatments and services provided by the centre.
Prices start at €39.00, but for the more advanced treatments, you could pay up to €1,000.
