According to data collected by the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM), in 2023, cement sales in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (RAM) were around 161.3 thousand tonnes – the highest value in the last twelve years – reflecting an increase of 2.7% compared to the previous year (157.1 thousand tonnes).
In turn, the value of cement sold in the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the reference year stood at 20.1 million euros, an annual increase of 13.9%.
The analysis further indicates that, in the 4th quarter of 2023, the amount of cement sold in the first sale increased by 19.5% compared to the same period of the previous year, while the value of sales grew by 36.0%.
