Calheta City Hall is providing temporary shelter at the Prazeres Pavilion.
The fire that broke out late this afternoon in the parish of Prazeres, municipality of Calheta continues to cause havoc. So much so, that the Jardim do Atlântico hotel is asking its guests to leave the unit. The measure was taken due to wind direction, especially as the flames are moving steadily towards a gas installation nearby.
Meanwhile, the Chamber of Calheta decided to open a temporary shelter in the Prazeres Pavilion to receive tourists and at risk citizens.
