2 Deaths in Madeira’s Waters

Between the 1st of May and the 31st of August, the National Maritime Authority (AMN) recorded two deaths in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (RAM). In total, they have reported 31,628 rescues, 1,656 first aid actions, and 14 fatalities on Portuguese beaches.

The deaths in Madeira were on the 26th of June in Praia da Fontinha – Porto Santo, on a life-guarded beach, while a few days earlier, on the 22nd of June, an individual their life on the Ribeira Pier, in an unguarded maritime area.
