New Santander Technology Desk Opens

Santander has opened its first ‘SmartRed’ branch (Rua 31 de Janeiro) in the Region.

According to a statement from the bank, the new SmartRed is “a more modern, digital, and customer experience-oriented space.  It’s larger, functional, technological, and comfortable and by integrating new forms of interrelationship with customers, through valued personalised service, the space improves the experience of those who use the bank, including a customer direction service.”

Accessibility is another key characteristic of the branch. Moreover, improved use of space, and a lack of barriers ensure that those suffering from mobility problems can move around easily, and further help is provided for those who are visually and hearing impaired.

In addition, the new branch has a customer service area that includes a commercial cash desk for companies, that is equipped to respond to the greater needs of commercial clients. It also has an innovative Self Banking area, available 24 hours a day, with three ATM machines, including one with a coin deposit service. There are also two individual netbank access stations, meeting rooms, and a training room.

Santander currently has 21 branches in the Region.
