AREAM – Regional Agency for Energy and Environment of the Autonomous Region of Madeira will tomorrow hold a seminar at the Barceló Funchal Oldtown Hotel, in Funchal, at 09:00 on “Hydrogen, a Solution for Island Bus Mobility.”
This seminar is part of the project “SEAFUEL – Sustainable integration of renewable fuels in local transport,” which as one of its primary objectives is the promotion of renewable energies throughout the Atlantic Area. This is through its storage in the form of hydrogen and subsequent use in public transport systems, and to support the transition to a low-carbon economy.
The seminar will be in English and features presentations from the SEAFUL project, Interreg Atlantic Area, GreenHysland project, Aberdeen buses, University of Galway, Regional Directorate of Economy and Land Transport, and Funchal Timetables.
The SEAFUEL project is co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg Atlantic Area programme. It has partners from Ireland, the United Kingdom, Spain, Belgium, and Portugal.
For all those interested, you can watch the seminar online through the AREAM website.
