Victor Prior, director of IPMA’s Funchal Meteorological Observatory, confirmed this lunchtime that the winds affecting Madeira will continue until Sunday.
Speaking to 88.8 JMFM, he stated that although the weather improved this morning, the wind would increase by the end of the afternoon.
Later this evening, the IPMA reiterated that a strong wind warning would remain in place until 18:00 tomorrow and that the wind will be from the northeast and fresh to very cool, sometimes strong near the island of Madeira until mid-morning.
