New Technology to Combat Sea Pollution

On the 11th of May at 10:00, the IPTL – Professional Institute of Transport and Logistics will hold a presentation session on the Marine Pollution Control Simulator (MPCS) in the Business Simulation Room at the Jesuit College.

The MPCS is a cloud-based tool easily accessible through different platforms (mobile, tablet, or laptop), which allows training, exercises, evaluation, context, and performance, of marine pollution control, at different levels.

This project is funded under the European Union program of the Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) of which IPTL is a partner together with Qualiseg, EVM, the University of Coimbra, and the National Maritime Authority through the Directorate for Combating Pollution of the Sea.

Of course, a simple and effective policy would be to stop using the world’s oceans as a dumping ground!
