ARM – Águas e Resíduos da Madeira, S.A., has advised that due to Easter there will be changes to their customer service, reception, and collection of waste in the participating municipalities, namely, Câmara de Lobos, Machico, Porto Santo, Ribeira Brava, and Santana.
WASTE COLLECTION:
Waste will not be collected in these municipalities on Good Friday (7th of April).
Machico
- The collection of selective waste paper / cardboard (blue ecopoint), usually collected on Friday will be brought forward to the 5th of April starting at 9am;
- The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish), usually collected on Friday, will be postponed until Saturday, the 8th of April, starting at 8am.
Santana
- The collection of selective waste paper / cardboard (blue ecopoint), scheduled for Friday the 7th will nw be collected on Wednesday the 5th, starting at 9am;
- The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish), usually collected on Thursdays, will be brought forward to the 5th, starting at 9am;
- The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish), usual collected on Thursday will be collected on Wednesday the 5th, starting at 8am.
Câmara de Lobos
- The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish), usually collected on Friday will be postponed to Saturday, the 8th, starting at 8am;
- The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish), from the centre of Câmara de Lobos and the centre of the Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, usually collected on Friday will now be collected on Thursday the 6th of April, starting at 8am;
- The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish), from Jardim da Serra on Friday will be brought forward to Thursday the 6th, starting at 8am.
Ribeira Brava
- The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish), collected on Friday will be postponed to Saturday, the 8th of April, starting at 8am;
- Porto Santo
- The collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish), usually collected on Friday will be collected on Thursday, the 6th of April, starting at 8am;
- The collection of packaging waste (yellow ecoponto), collected on Thursday, will be collected on Wednesday the 6th, starting at 8am;
- The collection of waste paper / cardboard (blue ecopoint), again collected on Thursdays will be brought forward to Wednesday the 5th, starting at 8am.
- An extra collection of undifferentiated waste (normal rubbish) will be held on Saturday, the 8th, starting at 8 a.m.
WASTE RECEPTION CENTRES:
The Transfer Station of the East Zone and Screening of Madeira Island, the Solid Waste Processing Center of Porto Santo (CPRS), the Solid Waste Treatment Station of Meia Serra (ETRS), and the Porto Santo Solid Waste Processing Center (CPRS) will also be closed during the Easter break.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Again all customer service desks will be closed for the Easter holidays.
