Three tourists were rescued from Fajã da Nogueira this afternoon by the Regional Civil Protection Service helicopter crew.
According to JM and the Volunteer Firefighters of Santana, three individuals became disoriented while out canyoning and asked for assistance at 13:15. In addition to the fire brigade, the Forest Police and the Civil Protection Air Force quickly mobilised and headed to the scene.
Due to their positioning, the helicopter crew were able to rescue the three tourists, who were said to be well and unharmed.
