Reuse and recycle should be our watchwords, and become part of our daily habits says the Regional Secretary for the Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change, Susana Prada. We already recycle 23% of rubbish collected, but we need to reach 25% by 2025; 35% in 2030, and 50% in 2035.”
While promoting this year’s Caniço Shopping Centre theme ‘Let’s decorate Caniço Shopping… with nature.’ She touched on the subject of recycling before praising and congratulating the 2,012 participants from 36 institutions for taking part and creating such beautiful decorations.
The initiative is part of a partnership between the Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation (IFCN), and Caniço Shopping and aims to promote the idea of recycling through the reuse of materials such as bottle tops.
Each participating institution received a voucher worth 100 euros from Caniço Shopping and its partners IMADEX and APV Stationery.
