With the arrival of colder weather, the Municipality of Funchal, in partnership with the Parish Councils, has launched a new solidarity campaign asking people to donate blankets for the animals in the care of the Municipal Kennel of Vasco Gil.
Their blanket appeal starts tomorrow, the 2nd of November, and ends on the 30th. Anyone wishing to or can donate a blanket to this worthwhile cause, please either drop your donation off at your local Parish Council Office or at the association’s new head office in Rua da Alegria, 14 G, in São Pedro.
This campaign is part of the European Waste Prevention Week Programme (21-25 November), which this year has as its theme “Circular and Sustainable Textiles.”
