This evening, the Public Security Police (PSP) confirmed that they were looking for an individual who had last been seen standing near the Ponte do Ribeiro Seco bridge, Funchal.
Emergency services are at the scene, and these include the police, Sapadores do Funchal and the Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters (BVM). However, information is scarce, and so far the searches have proved fruitless.
All that has been released is that someone was seen standing by the bridge and then they disappeared.
