IASAÚDE Says Reimbursement Decentralisation Working

One year on from the decentralisation of the reimbursement service by all the municipalities of RAM, and users of the Regional Health Service have said that on the whole they are happy with the new measures.

When asked, most users of the service confirmed that  the proximity, speed and quality of service are good, especially as making an appointment is easy whether through the website or by phone.

The president of IASAÚDE,  says that “with the decentralisation of the reimbursement service, we are closer to the population, we are present in each municipality, reinforcing our commitment to guaranteeing a quality service that is adequate to the needs of the people.”

During the first six months of 2022, 549 new users signed up for the SRS through reimbursement services in locations outside Funchal, with the municipality of Ribeira Brava having the highest percentage with 22.8% of subscribers, which reflects the high demand for this service and general satisfaction on the part of the users of the different municipalities of RAM. The decentralisation of the reimbursement service also allows for more efficient and organised service at the central services of IASAÚDE in Funchal.

In the first half of this year, 4,614 calls were made outside the municipality of Funchal, 17% of which in the municipality of Câmara de Lobos, followed by the municipalities of Santa Cruz with 16% and Ribeira Brava with 16%.

The Reimbursement Service is available in all municipalities in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, on specific days and by appointment, through the institutional website of IASAÚDE (www.iasaude.pt) or by phoning 291 212 370.
