The Regional Directorate of Health (DRS) issued a statement this evening saying that those who are "Covid-19 positive, or have been in contact with a positive case in the Autonomous Region of Madeira should use the S-alerta.pt/CIDADAO app to monitor their situation, and therefore ignore all SMS messages sent by the Ministry of Health during their period of isolation or quarantine." Therefore allowing people to take a much more active and responsible role during their confinement.
IASAÚDE, IP-RAM has issued a statement saying that the problems caused by the power outages after last weeks storm have been resolved and the Reimbursement system is back up and running.
Fourteen people are in quarantine, eleven of which in Porto Santo, after having been in contact with a visitor who was staying on the island, and who reported testing positive for the virus on returning to the mainland.
From Tuesday the 21st of July, all passengers travelling from Porto to Madeira can take their PCR tests in Porto for free, at the Porto Ocidental Health Centre Group.
