The Ecologist Party ‘Os Verdes’ presented a complaint addressed to the Public Prosecutor against the Cable Car System and Adventure Park of Curral das Freiras in Madeira.
The party structure considers that there are several violations of the Environmental Assessment Law (Decree-Law no. assessment, namely within the framework of the public consultation of the Environmental Impact Study, which deprive the Environmental Assessment of its purpose.
“A situation that is all the more serious since in this Project the geological impacts were not properly studied, as well as other fundamental factors for environmental and economic sustainability, for the safety of the populations of Curral das Freiras and the tourists who will use the cable car.”
The complaint was filed last week, on Monday the 25th of July, at the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Administrative and Tax Court of Funchal.
