Three Puppies Rescued, While Association Rescue Abused Dog

The Volunteer Firefighters of São Vicente and Porto Moniz and the Public Security Police rescued three puppies today, – two females and one male, aged approximately 6 weeks old -.  All of which are up for adoption at Vetmedis das Madalenas.

The association Ajuda a Alimentar Cães rescued a female dog in the early hours of this morning, after a homeless person was caught abusing the dog.  The man, who ignored the pleas of passersby continued to hurt the terrified animal, right up until he was caught by the association.

The case will be reported to the Animal Ombudsman, says the charity, and the dog, who naturally was terrified and injured after the assault was immediately transported to the Veterinary Hospital of Madeira.
