Max, a cross between a German Shepherd and another breed, ran away from his owners while they were walking along the Serra de Água and Levada do Norte levada control plant.
Since then, the owners have become desperate to find him as he suffers from epilepsy and a heart condition, for which he receives medication.
Max is described as being large with light brown fur, easily identifiable, is wearing a fluorescent green collar and is microchipped.
