The Portuguese Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies (APAVT), today launched its new communication campaign.
Created by the Message in a Bottle agency, this initiative aims to promote reservations at APAVT’s associated travel agencies during the month of May and the beginning of June, the peak period for reservations for the summer season.
“Don’t let your dream turn into a nightmare,” is the central theme, and aims to alert the population of the dangers of booking holidays online.
THE PANDEMIC CAME TO SEPARATE THE ‘WHEAT FROM THE CHAFF’
In March 2020, when the worlds travel industry fell into freefall, many people realised that booking through a travel agency meant that they either received a refund for cancelled flights or the option to book another holiday at no additional cost, while online companies were seen to be much slower to react and refund.
The APAVT campaign will continue until the 10th of June, and further information and ideas for dream destinations can be obtained at feriasdesonho.pt.
