Today, Pedro Ramos, the Regional Secretary of Health confirmed that all hospital visitors must produce both a Covid-19 digital vaccination certificate as well as proof of a negative test result.
The decision, issued yesterday by the General Directorate of Health, which exempts the presentation of these documents at national level, is being analysed by the regional authorities. Responding to this, the Regional Secretary for Health, stated that mandatory mask use in confined spaces is set to be withdrawn on the 15th of May. Then, providing that the regions health status does not deteriorate, the regional Government will make a decision on the whether the DGS ruling will be applied to Madeira.
