A 56-year-old tourist, who was walking along a non-recommended route at the 25 Fontes route in Rabaçal yesterday afternoon fell and needed to be rescued.
A team eleven officers from the Volunteer Firefighters of Calheta were called out at attended the scene at 15:00. Luckily, the tourist was still conscious, and was later transported to the local health centre for a check up.
The Rapid Intervention Medical Team (EMIR), also attended the scene.
