A 20-year-old tourist was rescued on Avenida do Infante, at four am this morning.
The young man, who had been to a night club with his friends, was so inebriated that he passed out in the street. The emergency services were called, and a Portuguese Red Cross team and the Public Security Police attended the incident.
Luckily the boy had regained consciousness by the time the ambulance arrived, and he was immediately transported to hospital.
All that is known, is that he is on holiday with a group of friends.
