Continuing strong winds adversely affected the island earlier today. The Porto Santo line had to cancel its scheduled sailing to Porto Santo due to rough seas, while the AIDAnova was unable to dock this morning. She was expected to arrive at 06:00 and depart at 23:00. She subsequently sailed on to Tenerife.
The airport also suffered, as six flights were cancelled this morning due to strong winds, while other airlines delayed their arrivals to this afternoon/evening, hoping that the weather conditions would improve.
On checking the ANAM site, it would appear that the airport is now working normally.
