The Associação Ajuda a Alimentar Cães yesterday rescued a dog in São Martinho, who had been deliberately stabbed with a knife.
Taking to Facebook, the association wrote “This is Martim, who has been attacked by a person, and as a result has a deep infected wound. The cut, says the veterinarian is too perfect to have been caused by an animal, and has probably made with either a sickle or a machete.”
According to a local source, Martim has been living on the streets for the past two years, and is fed by local residents. He had been in this state for about three days, but no one was able to help him.
