Due to microbiological contamination, bathing at Doca do Cavacas has been deemed inadvisable until tomorrow, Friday the 13th of August.
As part of sea water quality control in the region, which is carried out by the Regional Secretary for the Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change department, in conjunction with the Regional Directorate of Environment, contamination levels in samples taken at Poças do Gomes beach – Doca do Cavacas were found to be above the legal limit.
As such the beach has been closed, and fresh water samples have been taken.
