The Regional Government (RG) has confirmed that it will pay €399,997 in support to the island’s (DO) ‘Madeira’ wine producers.
This money, they say, will help promote Madeira as a holiday destination and as a quality wine producer, as well as help mitigate some of the economic effects and social issues caused by the pandemic.
Furthermore, the money exceeds the legal obligation to purchase grapes, must or wine.
