We May Ease Some Restrictions

The Regional Government will meet with Health officials this weekend, and on Monday decide whether any of the current restrictions in force can be eased, these are believed to include the curfew, sport and cultural activities.

Reiterating what he said yesterday, Miguel Albuquerque said that: “If the numbers of daily active cases remain as they are, we will extend the period of curfew.  However, we can only announce this on Monday, once we’ve met with health officials over the weekend, and analysed the current data on the number of local infections.  There are still 300 active cases, and we have to be cautious and do things gradually, as we do not want the same thing that has happened in the Azores to happen to Madeira.”
