Madeira to Receive 45,000 Pfizer Vaccines in May

This morning, the President of Madeira, Miguel Albuquerque confirmed that Madeira expects to receive 45,000 Pfizer vaccines in May.

When questioned by journalists, the President said: “We will receive in May more than 45 thousand vaccines from Pfizer, as it is imperative that we speed up our vaccination programme until September.” Where the Regional Government hopes to have vaccinated 70% of the population by then.

However, this could also depend on the rollout of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, as Madeira was set to receive a substantial amount of these in June.
