European legislation is preparing a set of new measures regarding vehicle safety, which will revolutionise the car industry. Once legislation is passed, all new cars will be installed with an alcohol metre and an immobiliser, to prevent the car from starting if the driver is over the legal limit.
This is just one of the safety measures that EU plans to introduce over the next six years, and the new ‘puff and stop’ feature which is part of an EU crusade against drink driving, road deaths and accidents could be introduced as early as May 2022.
