When the President of Madeira was asked by journalists if it would be possible for Madeirans to holiday in Porto Santo this summer without having to take a PCR test, the President snapped back “I’m not a futurologist!” It would appear that Miguel Albuquerque is advocating caution, even though the Secretary for Health and Civil Protection, Pedro Ramos has said that the cessation of ‘local’ PCR testing was a possibility when travelling between Madeira and Porto Santo.
