The photo says it all, and this is the reality facing Cáritas employees when they arrive at the institutions warehouse in Nazaré. While talking to local newspaper, JM, they said that the doorway to the warehouse is becoming a stopover for the homeless or a place where drug addicts can inject themselves.
In addition to the rubbish and human detritus they leave behind, the warehouse has become a target for opportunists trying to force the cargo bay doors open. A situation which is becoming an everyday occurrence. On another occasion, a side door was forced, luckily it only provided access to a secured passageway.
Many of the staff believe that it won’t be long before intruders force their way into the building.
