Vaccine Will Not be Misused!

Whether it was the sudden accounting error that misled everyone into believing that 17,500 vaccines had arrived on the island this week, but Miguel Albuquerque stated today, that he hopes that in Madeira, the vaccine will not be misused.  However, when questioned by reporters, he said he had more important things to worry about!

He went on to say that he thought the vaccination programme was going well, and that orangising the island’s vaccination programme is a highly complex process, as it is necessary to vaccinate thousands and thousands of people. Vaccinations, he said, will exceed 300 vaccinations a day, but, he revealed, the over eighties vaccination is hampered as many of the island’s octogenarians live in out of the way areas, and as such either have to vaccinated in their homes or transported to a vaccination ‘centre.’

Furthermore, he said, this week is especially important as the nursing/care home vaccination programme starts.
