João Severino has been missing from his home in Quinta Grande since the 15th of January.
According to his wife, João, having recovered from Covid, is suffering from severe depression, disorientated and very weak.
This morning, João’s son-in-law issued a new plea on social networks asking everyone to help find him, saying “My father-in-law is still missing. It’s been nine days since he left home without saying anything to anyone. He must have walked along a levada or gone up into the mountains. The last signal from his mobile phone was in Tabua, Ribeira Brava. We are so concerned for his wellbeing, and by now, he must have lost a lot of weight, compared to the photographs we’ve issued.
If anyone has seen him, please contact the local authorities on 924 039 686 or 291 911 040 (Câmara de Lobos police station).”
João was last seen wearing a jacket with a red hood, a green shirt and blue sneakers.
