Government to Assess Covid/End of Year Consequences

From today, the 16th of January, the Regional Government is to assess the consequences caused by the end of year festivities, with regards to the escalating number of Covid cases in Madeira.

The President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, who refuses to confirm that Madeira is suffering form community transmission, states that there are more than 70 active chains, some of which are from one person!  He went on to say that the increase in cases was expected, except for the outbreak in Porto Santo, but this is now under control.
