The Prime Minister of Portugal, António Costa, has categorically stated that there will be no restrictions on flights from the mainland to either Madeira or the Azores.
In a statement he said, “we have not introduced any restrictions on flights to the Autonomous Regions, and the principle of inter-territory connectivity must continue to be ensured. On our part, there will never be any restrictions on flights to and from the Autonomous Regions.”
