Predictions made by the Portuguese Institute of Atmosphere and Sea (IPMA), indicate that the cold weather will continue into next week, with snow falling on the island’s highest peaks until early Monday morning (11th of January).
Due to the amount of snowfall, the IPMA have placed Madeira under a yellow warning until 09:00 tomorrow, due to the condition of some of the roads and damage that could occur due to ice accumulation.
