Schools Closed in Santa Cruz

This afternoon the Regional Government (RG) decided to close all the schools in the municipality of Santa Cruz.

In a statement the RG said, “Following the record of the number of cases that puts the municipality at high risk, it was decided to close the schools in the parish of Santa Cruz this afternoon.  This measure will affect a total of 4400 students, a thousand teachers and staff and about 20 establishments. However, on Monday school teachers and staff will undergo a rapid Covid test, and all being well, schools will re-open as usual on Tuesday.”
