The President of Madeira, Miguel Albuquerque has revealed that new safety measures will be introduced to complement the ones already in existence.
In a press statement, he confirmed that, “within the next week he will announce a set of rules and procedures to complement those already in existence, which will affect how we move about in the difficult times ahead.” His comments come at a time when approximately 4,000 students are expected to return to Madeira for their Christmas holidays.
The President also confirmed that all parties will be restricted this year, and subject to new health and safety measures that will be announced shortly.
