The Regional Secretary for Health and Civil Protection (SRSPC) has confirmed that a spate of bogus Covid-19 messages have been received by people living in Madeira. The message reads “Your COVID-19 test was positive. Follow the isolation guidelines and wait for contact from the health team (COD VER 1K3337C1).”
As such, the SRSPC want to remind people to be on their guard when receiving messages from health professionals, and if they are in any doubt they should verify the credibility of the source.
All valid contacts made on behalf of the Regional Health Authority are made by RAM health professionals, and as a general rule they only contact patients by telephone.
