In a press statement by the Caniço Pharmacy (Farmácia do Caniço) administration, they confirm that they will be closed to the public for a week after a member of staff tested positive for Covid. The case was identified last Friday, the 6th of November, and the pharmacy was immediately closed.
As per health and safety regulations, all the staff were then monitored and questioned about their general health and underwent PCR testing.
Following the tests, the health authority declared on the 10th of November, that all tested employees of the pharmacy are to go into quarantine, and the pharmacy is to undergo a thorough disinfection and cleaning process before re-opening.
